Becoming A Solicitor
Many of you may have joined the Society to help develop your career as a solicitor; be it for networking, meeting prospective employers or to have access to talks and events that are aimed at helping with applications to law firms. For those of you who have joined for these reasons the pages listed below may be of use to you, although we still suggest you attend our talks and events when ever possible!
Jargon

LPC Information
Before you can practice as a solicitor you will need to complete the Legal Practice Course (LPC). On this page you will find details of the major providers, including their location, open days, and website address.

One important aspect of embarking on the LPC course is finance. Although prices vary from institution to institution, in general the fees for one year studying is £10,000 on top of which needs to be added accomodation and living costs for the year.
