President's Welcome 2009-10
Hello and welcome to the Kent Student Law Society website!
Kent Student Law Society (KSLS) has been the largest society at the University of Kent for the years 2007-08 and 2008-09 and are the only student society at Kent who cater for students who wish to pursue a career in Law as a solicitor, or who are as of yet undecided which career path (be it lawyer or otherwise) they wish to take. Our main aim therefore is to provide you with all the information you might need to make a well balanced career decision and the support to make it happen.
The 2009/2010 committee have all mandated to build on and further the success of the society next year. Last year was the society's most successful with 267 members, careers talks from the likes of Norton Rose, our biggest Law Fair (2008) to date, the immensely successful Annual Dinner (2009), a number of social events including a widely attended networking event with the Junior Lawyers Division in association with the Kent Law Society and £47 worth of subsidies available to each and every one of our members.
